As part of IT's ongoing effort to improve security across our systems, we are moving forward with implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all team members who sign into company systems. This will better protect your account and our company data from unauthorized access.
What is MFA?
MFA adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a second form of verification in addition to your password when accessing company information systems. This significantly reduces the risk of account compromise due to phishing or stolen credentials. Microsoft Authenticator app is easy to use and integrates seamlessly with our existing Microsoft services.

What You Need to Do
-
Install Microsoft Authenticator on your Mobile (whether Apple or Android) - click here for instructionsIf you do not already have the app on your mobile, please go ahead now so that you are ready when prompted by our coming change.
-
Use Microsoft Authenticator
- Once MFA is enabled on your account, when you next login you will do so as before but will now be required prompted to setup Multifactor Authentication. When prompted, and after having installed the app as outlined above, follow these steps.
When you login, you will be prompted to acknowledge the request on your phone or will need to open the Authenticator app, retrieve a code and enter that code in the login panel (more info on signing in here). You will not be prompted for MFA on each sign in, only periodically through based on the system configuration.
MFA will soon be required for all access to DDS Lab systems, so please download and install the authenticator app before then.
